An allegation of rape against Steven Avery was investigated in 2004. There was no physical evidence, and the alleged victim stated no rape took place. Now the Brown County Special Prosecutor claims to have changed the alleged victims mind.

Bible Stories for Prisoners

Some Wisconsin jails limit personal book possession to the Bible. The assumption is that this is a good guide for behavior. The sheriffs might want to think about censoring this reading material before allowing prisoners to become inspired. But, they would need to read the Bible first.

Local Web Site Shut Down by Overreacting Judge

A heavy handed Judge in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin ordered a local web site shut down on the basis of the filing of a lawsuit. No hearing was held to determine of contested remarks were defamatory or if the remarks were removed by the site owner.

When I tested canvas printing on my Epson R2400, I found that setting custom sizes for roll printing was more easily said than done. It turns out that some specific values are needed to control the roll paper type.

Just the Facts, Time

Time Magazine’s January 23’rd issue claimed that India was selectively aborting girls. The claim was misleading at best.

There are issues with sex ratios in the United States that worthy of concern and issues of birth defects due to paternal exposure to work environment contaminants. Apparently these are not worthy of concern.

The claims of gender feminist organizations that India is killing of its girl fetuses used nonstandard ratios to claim their point. I wanted a way to compare the various numbers used when discussing sex ratios.

The tables here are the primary (conception) and secondary (birth) sex ratios. The numbers that gender feminists use to claim selective aborting of girls are well within the normal range.

Kenneth Kratz, special prosecutor in the Halbach murder case, announced an unverified confession to murder on 2 March, 2006. He claimed that a Steven Avery nephew confessed to being a party to the crime. As a result of the confession Prosecutor Kratz spewed unbelievable details for the television cameras. This was an excellent opportunity for grandstanding.
